Module Two Description:
This module in the Grade 11 English curriculum for Ethiopia focuses on developing students’ integrated language skills through real-life themes such as irrigation, global warming, and heroism. Students will engage in a range of activities designed to enhance listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities. Emphasis is placed on improving students’ understanding of environmental issues, while also developing their linguistic competence in areas such as narrative construction, essay writing, and effective communication through debates, public speeches, and business correspondence.

MODULE ASSESSMENT METHOD
Module One of English Grade 11 will employ various assessment methods to evaluate student progress. These include listening comprehension tests, note-taking and summarization tasks, and oral presentations to assess speaking skills. Reading comprehension tests, skimming and scanning exercises, and vocabulary quizzes will evaluate reading abilities. Writing assessments will consist of narrative and expository essays, process descriptions, and grammar quizzes. Additionally, pronunciation tests and vocabulary exercises will ensure proficiency in pronunciation and vocabulary usage. These methods provide a comprehensive evaluation of students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. There are also mid-term exam and final exam.
